Debbie Wilson has officially achieved the American Dream. She’s sent her kids off to a top college and now lives in Evergreen Estates, the premier neighborhood of Iris Springs. Despite this, she’s not happy. Debbie can’t fit into this new crowd of beautiful people, and she can’t sleep either. 

One sleepless night, Debbie catches two neighbors carrying what looks like a body to the back of an SUV, and she’s pretty sure the neighbors saw her. The next day everyone wants to be friends with Debbie. Her husband is ecstatic with the new friendships and begs Debbie to drop the crazy idea her neighbors are killers and enjoy the fact she’s with the in-crowd.

Across the street is Kit. With a gorgeous husband, charming kids, and a stunning home, Kit has everything. But Kit is scared. She knows things can change and losing her perfect life keeps her up at night, almost as much as Debbie. 

The residents of Evergreen Estates believe they are the good guys. They help immigrants desperate for a better life, providing room and board. All they ask in return is some ‘minor’ domestic help without pay. It works well for everyone until Maria, a maid from Columbia, goes missing.
